City of Houston signs 5-year agreement to remove Graffity.

Mayor Annise Parker today announced an inter-local agreement between The Greater East End Management District (GEEMD) and the City of Houston to remove graffiti on city property throughout greater Houston.
GEEMD is ready to provide labor and materials for each graffiti removal project. GEEMD will also track gang-related tags and report activities.

"It just makes sense to employ local experts and resources to systematically efface the blight in neighborhoods across the city," said Council Member Sue Lovell. "This is another great example of the partnership between public and private entities that will allow us to achieve a community goal and help the city save money."

Graffity is a visual lights that impacts most major cities and is a danger to neighbothoods. It vantalizes roadsides, mass transit, commercial properties and residences. Graffity is often used by criminal streetgangs to communicate with rival gangs and mark territory. Quick removal of graffity may deter future vandalism and reduce gang activity. The GEED graffity abatement project has removed more than 32000 graffiti sites in houston and over 7000 sites withine the east end district since its inception.

The best solution is to use Anti-Graffiti films. Anti-Graffiti Films utilize a special adhesive that facilitates easy removal and replacement by professional installer following damage to the surface, acting as a sacrificed shield, is removed revealing the protected original surface. A fresh layer of Anti-Graffity film is then applied to the pristine surface for protection from future damage.

Anti-Graffiti flims also affer an  additional layer of protection by blocking up to 99% of the sun's damaging UV rays that contribute to the fading of interior furnishings, fixtures and valuable merchandise.

Tint Depot is a dealer of the Anti-Graffiti films. You can also contact Solar Control Films for Anti-Graffiti films.

Enjoy your day!
